Dear members of our community,

I hope this note finds you well as we continue to live our lives through the continued challenges of this pandemic. The last couple of weeks have been busy in the St Teresa of Calcutta MAC, as we have safely welcomed all pupils back into school. It is wonderful seeing our children back in classrooms and learning again.

I ask you to join us in praying for all our young people who are receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time in the weeks ahead. We pray that all receive God’s grace and comforting assurance as they reach this very important milestone in their spiritual development.

Alongside the operational demands of school life, we are making strong progress in the conversion process to strengthen our MAC with additional Primary Schools joining in the coming months. We have also launched a MAC wide competition with some very good prizes on offer! Our pupils are tasked with creating a new motto that encompasses what the St Teresa of Calcutta MAC represents and stands for. We are excited at the prospect of having many strong entries to choose from.

The MAC community is making our Lenten journey of faith together with raising money for charity an integral part of the mission that is going on in school. Our schools are currently raising money for CAFOD, the 'Walk for Water' appeal, Alzheimer’s UK and the Good Shepherd collection box appeal.  As part of the fundraising activities, there is a special raffle with winners receiving either a signed Aston Villa, Wolves or West Bromwich Albion shirt!
Apologies to all of the Birmingham City and Burton Albion fans who may be disappointed in hearing this news! I am hoping that you can put your sporting allegiances to one side to see
that this is all for a very good cause!

I conclude with these words from St Teresa of Calcutta:

'Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love'

On behalf of all connected with the St Teresa of Calcutta MAC, we wish you a very blessed Lenten journey and a wonderful Easter season ahead.

With every best wish,
