Do not be disheartened in the face of the difficulties that the educational challenge presents!

“Do not be disheartened in the face of the difficulties that the educational challenge presents! Educating is not a profession but an attitude, a way of being; in order to educate it is necessary to step out of ourselves and be among young people to accompany them in the stages of their growth. Give them hope and optimism for their journey in the world. Teach them to see the beauty and goodness of creation. The sole objective of the educating community is to develop mature young people who are simple, competent and honest, who know how to live with fidelity, who can live life as a response to God’s call, and their future profession as a service to society".

(Pope Francis)

World Youth Sunday and wonderful achievements of our young people in the St Teresa of Calcutta Multi-Academy Catholic Company.

  • Demo Image

On this weekend of World Youth Sunday, I would like to share an update regarding some of the wonderful achievements of our young people in the St Teresa of Calcutta Multi-Academy Catholic Company. Our partnership of Catholic Schools currently consists of Archbishop Ilsley Catholic Secondary School and Sixth Form, Holy Souls Catholic Primary School and Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School. We are delighted at the prospect of additional Catholic Primary Schools joining our family of schools in the coming year.

St Teresa of Calcutta, a patron for World Youth, encouraged educators to share these words with the young:

‘God doesn’t require us to succeed, he only requires that you try’.

In our Academy, we encourage all of our young people to try their best, which results in wonderful successes that I will share a sample of with you now.

At Holy Souls School we offer our congratulations to Lily-Mae Monaghan

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it. Life is beauty, admire it…

“Life is an opportunity, benefit from it. Life is beauty, admire it. Life is a dream, realize it. Life is a challenge, meet it. Life is a duty, complete it. Life is a game, play it. Life is a promise, fulfil it. Life is sorrow, overcome it. Life is a song, sing it. Life is a struggle, accept it. Life is a tragedy, confront it. Life is an adventure, dare it. Life is luck, make it. Life is too precious, do not destroy it. Life is life, fight for it.”
