St Teresa of Calcutta Multi Academy Company is seeking to appoint Directors to the MAC Board

Directors are responsible for the strategic direction, broad policy framework and oversight of the MAC and all its schools. They take decisions that are in the best interests of the MAC as a whole and are not representative of any one of the constituent schools. The Directors of the MAC have three core functions:

• Ensuring clarity of the vision, ethos and strategic direction.
• Holding the Executive Leaders to account for the educational performance of the schools and their pupils and the effective and efficient performance management of staff.
• Overseeing the financial performance of the schools and making sure that its money is well spent

The Board is supported by the CEO/CSEL, Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and Strategic Leaders.

Expertise is required particularly from Finance, Legal and HR sectors and applicants should be practising Catholics.

Easter Message 2023 – from Bishop Marcus to schools

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
At this stage in the calendar, when we draw close to the summit of the Liturgical Year - the Sacred Paschal Triduum, we celebrate with reverence the passion and death of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and we look forward with joy to celebrating at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday night and on Easter Sunday morning his resurrection from the dead.
As we come to the end of this term, it is also a time for many students in our schools which coincides with an intense period of study in preparation for examinations in the summer. For young people, it is a time of hope but it can be a time of anxiety also. What is most important though, is that their time in school is a time when they can flourish: in mind, body and spirit.
