The St Teresa of Calcutta Multi-Academy Company joins the global community in mourning the passing of Pope Francis. His unwavering dedication to serving the marginalised and his profound message of compassion resonated deeply with our own values. I was sent this quote from Pope Francis over the weekend;
“‘Rivers do not drink their own water; trees do not eat their own fruit; the sun does not shine on itself and flowers do not spread their fragrance for themselves. Living for others is a rule of nature. We are all born to help each other. No matter how difficult it is… Life is good when you’re happy; but much better when others are happy because of you.’”
We remember his call for empathy, his advocacy for the poor, and his tireless efforts to build bridges of understanding and peace. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his example continue to inspire us to live lives of service and love.
